* Professore a contratto del corso LCA presso l'Università Ca’ Foscari di Venezia, Dipartimento di Scienze Ambientali;
* Coordinatore del FP6-EoI: Sustainable BAT, pubblicato nel sito internet di CORDIS;

È stato responsabile di progetti che hanno coperto un'area comprendente la ricerca, la consulenza e la pianificazione della gestione delle acque sia dal punto di vista tecnico che di regolamentazione;
* Responsabile del programma “Integrated Assessment” presso RIZA. Ha introdotto e sviluppato il metodo di life-cycle assessment nella politica nazionale delle acque;
* Project coordinator per il progetto europeo LIFE commissionato da EC/DGXI, relativo alla prevenzione e riduzione dell'inquinamento diffuso delle acque in sei paesi comunitari;
* Rappresentante olandese nel gruppo di lavoro impegnato nella stesura di linee guida per gli aspetti economici ed ambientali nel contesto della direttiva IPPC. Coordinatore del gruppo responsabile degli aspetti ambientali;
* Partecipazione a conferenze nazionali ed internazionali. Attivo nelle reti internazionali di università/imprese/autorità, tra cui LCANET, CHAINET, MEPI, UNEP/LCI, ECOLINK e SHAPERISK. Diverse pubblicazioni e presentazioni (vedere pubblicazioni).
